Civic leaders and development partners gathered last week to celebrate the completion of the excavation and underground development of Central Station in Phoenix. This one-million square foot mixed-use development, located in the heart of downtown Phoenix, features two residential towers, food-oriented concepts, retail space, and flexible office space.

Mayor Kate Gallego and other key stakeholders, including GMH Communities, City of Phoenix, Layton Construction, and Multistudio, were present at the celebration to mark this significant milestone in the development of Central Station. The transit-oriented development is located near Civic Space Park and Arizona State University’s Downtown Phoenix Campus and is set to revolutionize the city’s primary downtown transit center, serving two million passengers annually.

The project, which is slated to open in 2024, will bring new life to the downtown area and create a dynamic and bustling urban hub in the heart of Phoenix. The completion of the excavation and underground development is a crucial step towards realizing the vision for this transformative project.

Medistar is honored to be a part of this project and we are looking forward to watching this development go UP!
