Medistar pioneered the development of the Digital Hospital in Birmingham, AL. Powered by an advanced technology platform created by Oracle Corporation—it focused on enhancing patient care, safety, and medical record precision, all while effectively curbing costs and minimizing errors.

Medistar develops Bay Area Regional Medical Center in Webster, TX. The facility becomes recognized as a world-class healthcare operator.

Medistar develops IHG Houston, as a leading luxury hotel in the Texas Medical Center. This 354-room hotel provides luxury accommodations for visitors of the largest medical center in the world.

Medistar’s multifamily platform is founded with the development of the 35-story Latitude Med Center Apartments. 

Medistar wins an RFP issued by the Texas A&M University system, to develop a world-class mixed-use project, Innovation Plaza, in the heart of the Texas Medical Center.

Medistar wins an RFP issued by the City of Phoenix to develop and activate Central Station, a world-class mixed-use development, in the heart of the downtown Phoenix.

Monzer Hourani is named Engineer of the Year by ENR, for his efforts in developing technology that mitigates transmission of COVID-19 in buildings.
